Too Much Vada, Too Little Pav!

Page three celebs creeping up the ladder, desperately wanting to be photographed with a film star or some influential person, tagging them and writing utter fake words of praise so they get reposted. Anyone who has an ability to shamelessly interact with popular figures at such parties and maybe show up half decently dressed can become a page three-ite in the big city! I’ve seen the same bunch of people for 15 years now, joined by new ones, of course! I shouldn’t forget to mention those guys sitting at the umbrella bar in Bangalore club, talking about legacy and family tree and bloodline while being broke themselves! What exactly is their endgame here though? I fail to understand! Only a young Turk with not much intelligence can empty his father's account and get their production house to go bankrupt. Imagine this: A person with a lot of money refuses to pay daily wage workers for over two years, makes the crew members eat pav and butter at outdoor schedules while he’s dining in a Michelin star restaurant nearby with his girlfriend, who no one recognizes but they insist on having bodyguards and chauffeured limos to take them around. What then happens? Bankruptcy, bad will, and an eventual shutting down of the production house. Closer to home, I see people starting brands, cafés, causes, not for the betterment of society but to again be photographed and tag famous people and get reposted. Is the money coming in for that brand or café? No one knows! But they seem to be happy with those two seconds of fame! Why is everyone after the film industry to see who’s not being faithful to their partners? It’s happening right in front of my eyes: married relatives, married friends, married stylists, married tour operators, serial actors, makeup people, people in estates who are just bored—basically, everyone. And these guys decide to become holier-than-thou and judge actors and their infidelity when they meet Save three couples—yes, I can literally count them—everyone else is in a pretend marriage, living in a pretend world, doing pretentious things, trying to be someone they’re not... and I’m the actress?
